A Beautiful Wedding at Royal Palm Beach Commons Park
There's something I love about photographing a wedding day from beginning to end. It's getting to witness everything that makes the day what it is. The anticipation before the ceremony, the people who mean the most, and all those little moments that happen without anyone realizing they're being photographed.
On June 13, 2026, I had the opportunity to document Mr. and Mrs. Waters' wedding at Royal Palm Beach Commons Park in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. From getting ready to the celebration that followed, I was there to capture their story as it naturally unfolded. A little direction when it was needed, but plenty of room for the real moments to happen.
Because years from now, I want them to remember more than what their wedding looked like. I want them to remember how it felt. Before I Do
One thing I really enjoyed about the Waters' wedding morning was having a little extra time with Anndi. There were so many beautiful details to photograph, but what made them even more special was learning how much thought went into them.
Their wedding colors were white, burgundy, and sage green, and each one represented something meaningful about their faith and the marriage they were beginning. From the handwritten vows to the smallest details, this wasn't just about putting together a beautiful wedding. They wanted their day to reflect what mattered most to them.A FIRST PRAYER
One of my favorite moments from Anndi and Diego's wedding happened before they ever walked down the aisle. They decided to skip the traditional first look because they wanted that moment of seeing each other for the first time to happen at the ceremony. But there was something they wanted to do together first. Pray.Standing on opposite sides of a column, they held hands and prayed together without seeing one another. Anndi later shared how, with everything happening that morning, this was the moment everything felt peaceful again.Knowing how important their faith is to their relationship made this moment even more meaningful to photograph. Before the celebration, before the vows, they made time for what mattered most to them.THE CEREMONY
One thing I loved about Anndi and Diego's ceremony was how intentional they were about keeping God at the center of it all. Even the music they chose had meaning behind it. Diego walked down to Gratitude by Brandon Lake, while Anndi chose Goodness of God by CeCe Winans. Both songs were beautiful reminders of God's faithfulness throughout their lives. And I think you can see just how much this day meant to them in the photographs. There were tears, worship, prayer, and so much joy. Watching them celebrate the beginning of their marriage surrounded by the people they love was such a beautiful thing to witness.
THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT SPECIAL
After the ceremony, Anndi and Diego were greeted by their wedding party cheering them on as they walked through. I loved seeing how excited everyone was for them! The rest of our time together was filled with laughter and celebrating alongside their family and friends. Looking at these photographs, you can tell they were surrounded by people who genuinely love them.LET THE CELEBRATION BEGIN
Anndi and Diego's reception was such a fun celebration! The DJ had everyone dancing, and I loved seeing how much thought they put into making the day their own. Also, they were gifted a personalized clock with no batteries, set to the exact moment they said “I do” and shared their first kiss. One of the coolest moments to photograph was their exit through a shower of white flower petals. The elevator opened on both sides, which gave me the opportunity to photograph them from a completely different perspective as they said goodbye. I loved how those photos turned out!JUST THE TWO OF THEM
We actually saved Anndi and Diego's portraits for the very end of the night! After the ceremony and family photos, everyone was ready to head inside and get the reception started. And somewhere in the middle of all that dancing, it started raining!Rather than pull them away from their celebration, we waited until the reception was over. Then we headed outside for a little time together before they left for the night. I love how these photographs turned out, and I'm so glad we made the time for them.
THE MOMENTS THAT STAY
Anndi and Diego made their wedding day their own, and I loved getting to document it. Looking back through their photographs, I hope they remember just how much they enjoyed every part of it.If you're planning a wedding in Palm Beach County, South Florida, or somewhere beyond, I'd love to hear what you're dreaming up. Let's create something that feels like you.
